First of all human supporters association would like to Congratulate you all for the new year wishing to be a beautiful year full of success and enjoyment for all of you.

PROMOTING CHILDREN, YOUTH, AND WOMEN, EDUCATION AND PSYCHOLOGICAL WELLBING IN NABLUS –OLD CITY

This month the teacher have finished the school support activities – “second grade “for this stage with a beautiful party for the children and their families, in the party they have offered Certificate for the children to congratulate them for ending this stage with a huge success, the party was enjoyable for all the participants due to the dancing music and other activities conducted during the day.

As the illiteracy classes for the women and dropped out are running perfectly. For the women in addition of the classes we offer them sport activities in the yard of HSA, these exercises are giving the women the motivation to attend regularly to our sessions.

The voice of kids team are preparing themselves for the exams that starting with the beginning of this year, we are wishing them to do the best and we encourage them to study more to have the best results. Aswell as the youth of human rights theater project who living the same

period

One of the beautiful things has been conducted during December, a course called origami was offered by a French trainer called gween, this origami teaching the children to make beautiful shapes using papers. Like flaying birds or frog …etc.The group of the children had a wonderful time during the course.

Another beautiful course for group of children were conducted, this course intended to expose the children feelings, and teaching them to recognize them , the children played a lot in this course and expressed a lot from their heart. This course was provided by salvia the Italian volunteer.

PROMOTING CHILDREN, YOUTH, AND WOMEN, EDUCATION AND PSYCHOLOGICAL WELLBING IN NABLUS –OLD CITY

We noticed the amazing development in the children, youth, women, during the classes that we are providing. In the different programs, in the school support program this month the children took many activities full of playing and enjoyment that were effective with the children to understand the educational context. In the illiteracy classes for women and youth, they played with balloon, drawing on the cards. In the illiteracy classes, the women are attending regularly to the classes and everyday they are learning more, about Arabic and mathematics, as well as the dropped out that they are increasingly flow to HSA.

VOICE OF KIDS

In November, the kid’s team is taking diffident activities including lots of fun and an educational means; the facilitator will give them many activities to prepare for the last stage “the magazine stage” The children are now working on the magazine pages that will be lunched in the coming couple months as we hope.

HUMAN RIGHTS THEATRE PROJECT SECOND STAGE:

Gladly the youth in the human rights theater project is finishing the activities of the third stage. They practiced a lot on their 7 short plays. That they will present in I n Sharek forum next month, these plays included the right of education, the Civilians rights during the war, the refugee’s situation in the camps, and other

titles.

Courses

On Saturday November 25^{th, we} have started new English course for children aged between 9 -12 years, This course is including many tutoring the children the basic English using games, playing and group teaching, which is our way to help the children to improve, Our volunteer is providing this course in the HAS yard, and many children from boys and girls are interested to attend regularly to this course, that will last for 2 months. As we started a French course for the HAS staff provided by our French volunteer

PROMOTING CHILDREN, YOUTH, AND WOMEN, EDUCATION AND PSYCHOLOGICAL WELLBING IN NABLUS –OLD CITY

According to our experience since the last year in the project, this year we have planed, new work methodology that fits with the new changes in the program. In the school support program we choose 120 children in needs from both boys and girls from two new schools located around the old city of Nablus, as two new tutors became part of HAS family, the manger of CISS have visited the schools and check closely the running of the programs and prized on our work with the children, youth, and women.

on Saturday 2011 , the project manager Mr.salvo with the project coordinator Mr. Wajdi yaeesh have conducted a graduation day for the women who finished the illiteracy classes successful in the first year. the ceremony has been conducted in HSA yard, included presentation certificates distribution.

VOICE OF KIDS:

In October, the kids took a holyday to do their exams, they were coming at least one time per week to complete their work in the magazine, they took beautiful pictures to be added in the magazine pages, as they are participating so actively in the English translation that we are looking forward to celebrated next month.

HUMAN RIGHTS THEATRE PROJECT SECOND STAGE:

Due to the third stage the youth in the human rights theater project have acted many short plays from their daily life, the played what they feel and think, and reflected in the role of the teachers in the school, the bad behavior of soldiers in the checkpoints and many others things from their lives. The 70 youth involved in the project were invited to an open day in the October 1^st; in this even the youth presented their artwork and share the food and enjoyment together.

PUPPETS THEATER:

In October the children have made their final shows, the invited many children from the old city and other places, in the event the presented their plays and spoke about it with the children, their stories were full of the educational means that were fully rewording in the children lives, as they sang and dance during the events.

Courses

HSA started the puppets course the doniz the French facilitator, for one week at HAS center, she offered many activities, creating puppets, playing with the puppets and making stories and educational games.The group who participated were from HSA staff, sharef forum and other volunteers.

The staff involved in the project was working in the preparation of the new stage of the project, Is this stage we are going to involve also 1200 children in the school support, and 25 women and 25 dropped out in the illiteracy classes, 45 children to the labs, all of these groups will be serviced on September, hopefully we are wishing the best for this stage.

VOICE OF KIDS - GERNALISTIC PHASE:

Due to this stage the voice of kids team is writing their own articles that will be included in the magazine later one, they already wrote a lot about the suffering of the Palestinian children and about a lot of social events happened during the third stage, such as Ramada, the fist, going back to school, and many other subjects.

As they are continue to learn about making investigations about very important cases of their lives which will be their critical tools to understand what is going on in the society especially because we are living in a special situation under the occupation.

Laugh therapy – clowning

Human supporters association with the cooperation of the Spanish clowns have conducted two course, laugh therapy and clowning

In which the groups learned how important to laugh and to use activities to make the children laughing as way to open a positive relationship, in the clowning the groups learned how important to use the clowning as a skill to express and to make people happy. These courses targeted the staff and the volunteers of HSA, including many employees of another NGOz that participated actively in the courses.

HUMAN RIGHTS THEATRE PROJECT SECOND STAGE:

Happily Human supporters finished the second phase of the project with a lot of fun and success for the 7 groups involved in this project, during September the groups have pained about the children rights on a big sheets and mage a lot of other games that bring them together as a family. And now they staff will conduct an event that will gather all the groups in the yard of HSA, which will include presentations, competitive games. In order to encourage the groups and reword their commitment in the project

PUPPETS THEATER:

On September we started the last stage of the project, which is the training and the performing. The kids are learning to present in front of each others to make a good show on October. They wrote stories aimed to provide the children a lot of educational means such as “Salma El Helwa” the beautiful salma” which aimed to teach the children how important to be cooperative in the social life and the beauty is located in our actions and intentions not the surface one .

INTERNATIONAL DELIGATION:

Many international groups of volunteers have visited Human Supporters during September, (Italian, French, Spanish, and also from many other nationalities), which their visits aims to express their solidarity to the Palestinians that are living in a hard situation under the occupation

As usual we have offered them a tour through the old city of Nablus, and we introduced them to what the old city suffered since the invasion in 2002 until the present. Mr. WajdiYaeesh the director of H.S.A was their guide in every tour. As we presented Human Supporters history and activities that all were based on the suffering and the influence of the occupation

État Palestinien et attaques de colons autour de la ville de Naplouse

La ville de Naplouse et ses environs, située au nord de la Cisjordanie, a été témoin ces derniers jours de nombreuses attaques de la part de colons extrémistes israéliens.

Des centaines de colons israéliens se dirigeaient hier vers le check point de Huwara situé à l’entrée de la ville de Naplouse. Ces derniers ont forcé les soldats israéliens a fermé le check point afin de perturber la circulation des Palestiniens.

Des attaques ont aussi été perpétré dans le village d’Asira (situé au nord de Naplouse) et l’ont dénombre deux blessés dont un enfant de 14 ans ainsi qu’un journaliste.

De plus, 400 oliviers appartenant à des villageois palestiniens ont été brulé en ce jour du mardi 20 septembre 2011. Ces attaques devraient se poursuivre contre les Palestiniens dans les jours qui viennent.

Les colons ont annoncé commettre ces attaques au nom de la « souveraineté » en réponse à la volonté palestinienne de se diriger vers les Nations Unies pour plaider la reconnaissance de leur état.

Nablus è una città situata a nord della Cisgiordania, in Palestina, la quale sta subendo numerosi attacchi commissionati dai coloni israeliani. Purtroppo non solo la città di Nablus è soggetta a questi soprusi ma tutte le città della Palestina.
Centinaia di coloni hanno preso di mira il checkpoint di Howarah impedendo di fatto il passaggio e la mobilità della popolazione palestinese.
Non solo, i coloni hanno anche attaccato la gente del villaggio di asera al qiblia, sparato ad un bambino e ad un giornalista e, il 20 settembre scorso, bruciato più di 400 alberi di ulivo. Ciò che è più grave è che questi attacchi continueranno e aumenteranno nei prossimi giorni.

Gli israeliani hanno chiamato queste azioni "sovranità" per rispondere alle richieste del popolo palestinese di avere un proprio stato nelle Nazioni Unite.
Ma i palestinesi hanno risposto che istituiranno dei comitati in difesa delle proprie città e della loro stessa incolumità, costantemente violata.

Il 21 settembre, gli impiegati e i volontari della Human Supporters Association e la delegazione spagnola giunta da Madrid ha partecipato alla grande manifestazione che si è tenuta nel centro della città di Nablus.
Alla manifestazione hanno anche partecipato tutte le ONG locali, le scuole, organizzazioni varie e migliaia di palestinesi.

La ciudad de Nablus que se encuentra al norte de West Bank- Palestina, ha sido testigo de ataques por parte de los colonos israelies, que ya amenzaron previamente con atacar varias ciudades palestinas. Cientos de colonos se situaron en el checkpoint de Howarah, que esta a la entrada de Nablus y lo bloquearon, lo que impidio el movimiento de los palestinos. Ademas atacaron a la gente del pueblo de "asera al qiblia", dispararon a un joven y a un periodista y quemaron alrededor de 400 olivos. Todo esto ocurrio el dia 20 de septiembre y se esperan que este tipo de acciones se produzcan tambien en los proximos dias.

Los israelies han denominado a este tipo de actos como acciones de "soberania" o "dominio" y las realzan en respuesta al reclamo de los Palestinos de ser reconocidos como estado en los proximos dias en la ONU. A pesar de estas acciones por parte de los colonos, los palestinos han anunciado que mantendran grupos de guardia y cuidado a la poblacion para defender sus tierras y a si mismos...

الدولة الفلسطينية واعتداءات المستوطنين في نابلس

مدينة نابلس الواقعة في شمال الضفة الغربية شهدت العديد من الاعتداءات من قبل المستوطنين الاسرائيلون الذين هددوا باقتحام المدن الفلسطينية، حيث قام المئات من المستوطنين بالمسير باتجاه حاجز حواره المقام على مدخل مدينة نابلس مما أدى إلى اغلاقه من قبل قوات الاحتلال وتعطيل حركة الفلسطينيين و أيضا قام المستوطنون بالهجوم على أهالي قرية عصيرة القبلية مما أدى إلى إصابة طفل وصحفي وقاموا بإحراق 400 شجرة زيتون، يوم الثلاثاء 20\9\2011 و من المتوقع أن يستمر المستوطنون في اعتدائهم على الفلسطينيين في الأيام القادمة حيث أعلنوا بأنهم يقومون بهذه الاعتداءات تحت مسمى"السيادة" ليردوا على الفلسطينيين بسبب توجههم للأمم المتحدة،لكن الفلسطينيين أعلنوا عن تشكيل لجان حراسة مدنية للدفاع عن أنفسهم وأراضيهم.

‘HAPPY EID:

Before any thing at all, Human supporters association congratulate the Muslims all over the world for all Eid , with the coming of this holly social even, we are wishing you had spent a wonderful time with families and all friends. During Ramadan august 2011, human supporter’s staff was totally involved in many activities that brought the joy and the hope for our society.

HUMAN RIGHTS THEATRE PROJECT SECOND STAGE:

During Ramadan the staff of HRTP started the second phase of the project, they conducted sessions on a daily base for 7 groups of children that aimed to break the ice between the children each others, and to build a strong groups that can be like a family working and having fun together, this stage will be 2 months that we wish the groups will have the best rewording time together with us.

VOICE OF KIDSINITIATIVES GERNALISTIC PHASE :

The voice of kids team has started the third stage, were each one of them will be the “young journalist” as they used to be called after all the practices and the investigations they do. Due to this phase the children will learn how to be journalist and to be able to write in a professionally in a way recognized among the official journals, which our aim is to build their critical thinking to the media and the matters related t their realities.

FESITCLOWN FASTIVAL:

human supporters association collaborate with the Festiclown (Rebel clowns) to conduct the huge festival in Palestine, and that was After several trips of Ivan Prado and the Festiclown in Gaza and Cisjordania, Pallasos en Rebeldia (Rebel Clowns) and Festiclown decided to work with local palestinian entities to bringa ll the Festiclown inti Palestine, and more tan 50 artists as messengers of hope and fraternity in this land. An army of red noses against the military occupancy of Israel and fighting for the humanity with laugh and clown noses as only weapons, they are visiting Ramallah and Jerusalem from 1st to 15th of September. In Nablus, During Al Eid in Jamal Abed al Nasser – open theatre / three shows for the public, many people came and had a wonderful time during the shows as many other shows in the cams old city and villages were presented

PUPPETS THEATER:

As the children used to, they are preparing their own shows, those many different interesting shows will be presented for the children in a couple months, and they are having the best time with their little puppets that they learn to speak with.

INTERNATIONAL DELIGATION:

‘LIVING TOGETHER’ SUMMER CAMP:

Once again this year Human Supporters Association opened the ‘Living Together’ summer camp in the church located in the Western gate of the old city of Nablus.Once again everyone came together to have a wonderful experience, sharing the various and rich, culture and customs.

60 children from the three religions based in Nablus, (Samaritans, Christiana and Muslims)were gathered at the church, every morning from the 4^th – till the 14^th of July. This summer, the facilitators offered many new innovative activities such as circus, music, dancing, and handcrafts...etc.

On the 13^ththe whole camp celebrated the end of the summer camp on high spirits. The children presented many different performances in the final show, and many parents attended and encouraged the children during the presentation. On the 14^th all of the summer camp participants went to the swimming pool and had a lot of fun there.

LAUNCHING HUMAN RIGHTS THEATRE PROJECT:

In July the team of HRTP followed a theatre training TOT with QaisAwais, who is a famous theatre expert in Palestine, this was the last part of the first stage of the project. The training offered them a methodology enhancing their pedagogical tools.

The team has worked on the promotion of the project in the community to prepare for the next stage, which is with the children and will start on the 8th of August. On July 24^th the team of the human rights theatre project conducted a special meeting with thechildren’s parents sothat they will be participatingin the project activities too. The press and many associations came to witness the event, as the team presented the associations history and activities, followed by explaining the projects stages and goals. The meeting included a music show presented by mohammad Al– Arred the singer of H.S.A. The meeting ended with answering questions and completing the participatory application, the meeting was greatly successful and the people expressed their enthusiasm and interest to include their children in such an innovative project.

VOICE OF KIDSINITIATIVES:

The third initiative that the kids conducted was aimed at promoting national production, which will help Palestinians to think about independence in the future and will assist us as Palestinians to count on each other economically, as a way to resist the occupation and its presence in our life, politically and economically. The kids refuse counting on Israeli production whilst the Palestinians have alternative solutions that should be promoted and supported by us.

As an idea the kids made a special visit to ‘Al- Arz ice-cream factory’. The tour of the factory included information about production and consumer satisfaction. This opened their eyes to the Palestinians capacity to produce good products. It was very rewarding and the kids want to reflect on this in the magazine. After the visit the kids had a debate, in a free discussion about how important a future of independence is through promoting our hand made produce that will be resistance to the occupations existence. The kids wrote about their ideas after the debate, which will be discussed in the magazine.The debate was followed by a complementary initiative, which is a special training that enables the kids to express their solidarity with national and culture products. The kids had special training to express their ideas and their sense of belonging to society, through using the media as an active tool to promote their ideas.

Tawjihi Party

We gave our best congratulation for those who passed the Tawjihi final exams. On July 30^th, at the Human Supporter’s yard,the voice of kids team initiated a special party for the students who passed the Tawjihi successfully. The party was full of happiness seen in the student’s faces, flowers and certificates were distributed to all of them.

PUPPETS THEATER:

During July the children have learned how to reflect a silent nature into puppets dialogue.

They are using the puppets activity to express their minds and feelings, as they are planning to present the fourth seasons and they are doing their best efforts to make a nice show in the end.

INTERNATIONAL DELIGATION:

OUTDOOR ACTIVITIES

Two of our staff conducted an entertainment day within the summer came that were dedicated to 150 girls of Iraq borenvillage, the staff conducted many physical activities that brought enjoyment to the girls day, which was the goal that we aimed to accomplish.

LAUNCHING HUMAN RIGHTS THEATRE PROJECT:

With the beginning of June 2011, human supporters association started the long awaited “human rights theatre project” which is a new psycho-educational project, dedicated to the youth of Nablus and its surrounding, the project uses the Human Rights as a tool of empowerment and the theatre as a tool of expression and achievement. This project will be implemented over the coming 18 months and will evolve of 70 youth aged between 12 – 16 years old.

On June 18^th, the team of the HRTP has started the seminar activities, which is the first stage of the project that is taking a place at HSA, from the beginning of June until the end of July 2011.

The seminar includes two main topics Human Rights / and theatre provided to the work team and other interested volunteers by several associations (Independent Commission of Human Rights, Defense for Children International, BADIL Resource Center.. Etc).

The trainings being provided are offering the work team methodologies efficiency in working with youth. As well as presenting concepts later on during the implementation of the project

VOICE OF KIDS INITIATIVES:

June 16^th, the voice of kid’s team went to “SAMA NABLUS” for its first outdoor activity. in order to on the top of the mountain they had a lot of fun, making brainstorms and coming up with initiatives. The first initiative was entitled “keeping our Palestine clean” on Thursday.

To reserve the environment and keeping our country beautiful, the team of voice of kids has decided to make an environmental campaign, as a tool to send a message to the society, promoting the concept of saving our country cleaned and healthy.

the chose for the first initiative fall in one of the most popular park called “Jamal Abed Al-Naser”, in which most of the people goes to enjoy their time with their little children who run to play in the green, So that it was worth to lunch the kids’ campaign from that spot. Concerning the figure of people and the bad environmental situation in the park

28 kids of the team and other visitors have disrupted in areas in a small teams, in 2 hours the kids have made sure a healthier environment for the kids have don a well done job, then they mad a special even all together in the families section, were they sang, and share the food, then they have made so activities and expressed their huge how happy they are to made the initiative and the enjoyment they have got during the day.

On June 29^th, the kids done the second stage which is an intensive training entitled “the civil defense” addressing the children actions and providing them the best practices and the procedures to deal with the fire when it may happen, followed by a visit to the firefighter centre on the second of next month

PUPPETS THEATER:

During June, the four groups in the puppets theatre have performed many educational stories concerning the health and the environment and other topics made by their own imagination. Through out using the theatre the kids are having a best time and enjoying playing together and expressing their feelings though the puppets that became a very powerful tool to in their lives

The training will be addressing the needs of the teaches in the psychological and educational aspect, that will be enhancing their performance with the children later on.

SUMMER ACTIVITES:

Due to the end of the exams and the children holidays, HSA are holding a weekly different activities to the children, such as the drama activities that took place on the 15^th June, the children have draw the four seasons, after the spoke about the nicest things they see in winter or summer, which was a resulting with the kids appreciation to the four seasons and gave them the chance to express and enjoy. As the played in the yard and had the best time all together.

As we open an English class for the children delivered by Nour, the new international volunteer, the course is totally in English and the kids are learning and improving fast despite the foreign language

Voice of kids magazine project: 4th edition

On May 14^th, the voice kids 4^th group concluded the first phase, in the association yard, where the celebration included a number of events which have taken a social nature and other entertaining character, Children also expressed during the ceremony the happiness of this wonderful experience, which taught them a lot. They have become one strong, loving family, as they finished the ceremony the team distribute gifts for them as an expression of the association team for their presence and commitment In 19^th may, the group start giving activities of the second phase of the intervening events and introduction on what requirements stage during which children will implement social initiatives that serve society and enable them to make change, which in turn reflected positively on the young and promising future, we wish them every success in the coming

Pilara workshop, about “violence”

In one of voice kids meetings, the director of the Pilara Center Mrs. Samira Al-Masri implemented workshop for the children of the community about violence as a supplement “count to ten” session, which was carried out by Pilara, where she gave comics, talk about the violence and asked the children write a story expressing photos, which has reinforced the children effective participation in the adoption of the means of expression is far from the violence, that line directly with the voice of kids objects.

In May 28^th children groups celebrated the school support the end of the first phase, where the team has distributed certificates to the children, and implement many of the activities of recreational group and in Al- Fatimya school yard for Girls, also teaching took place for children within the previous six months, where children's learning skills of reading, writing and mathematics also mastered the basic levels of English like alphabets, numbers, and structure as part of the curriculum the active involvement of children in the educational process and learning through play and other means.

For the Labs : HSA trainers are still providing the regular sessions with the children in The Art theater, sport , and dance labs, in which they are preparing for new stage that will include new children to be benefit of the Art lab.

Drawing competition
In both 18/19 May Human supporter association participated in an international competition carried out by the European Union entitled (gender) that promote the concepts of making the world a better place, through the equality between male and female rights and opportunities, where the association carrying out activity through which the two groups of children consisting of at least 20 boys and girls draw the child's story and the girl child. In order to bear the responsibility together for a better world

Puppets theatre:

During the month of May, Puppets theatre groups integrated the schedule of the second phase of the project, which contains stories and learning through playing with puppets. Lessons include learning about health, environment and equality that promote the concepts of children and the emergence of personalities through puppets.

Festclown

On the 5^th of April, 3 Spanish girls form fest clown have conducted several events of clowning and entertainments with the human supporter’s association coordination, where the first event carried out on (Al Watani and Rafedia) hospitals, for the children who are suffering form cancer, the goal of the activities were, to bring the smile for them under their situation.

As the same group have lunched laugh therapy course in HSA centre for the group of employees, volunteers and other participants, during the 5^th / 7^th / and 9^th of April 2010, as the course included many of the group practical activities, and a lot of speaking about the importance of the laugh and its positive reflection on our daily life.

On 9^th of April, the group have conduced activities for 100 children within the school support program, which the teachers of the group have participated in the activities as a facilitators, as many families have attended the day to share their children happiness during the day.

On 12^th of April, the director of Bailara centre – Nablus “Mrs.Samera al masri “has conducted a workshop entitled “child protection “for the women group are part of illiteracy classes were many issues were discussed about the physical and psychological practices against the children that are effect negatively his/ her mental health, which require a protection of such practices to protect his/her rights, as the women have participated actively by giving practical examples of their lives.

Voice of kids 4

We a high pleasure, the association started voice of kids 4 activities, which was long- awaited since the end of the third phase of the previous edition last December, where the first phase of the project that included many introducing and ice breaking activities, and many other workshops about the adolescence stage, violence, self- awareness, which the session’s results have reflected positively on them in a short time, where also the children were encouraged, integrated , that answer their needs, which are the most important goals that are accomplished during the first phase of the project.

Puppets theater

With high pleasure, the puppets theatre has lunched with the beginning of April 2011, 40 children aged between 8 -12 years old have participated in the project activities, which aimed to encourage the children to express themselves though out using the puppets that help them to explore their internal problems, and using the puppet as an alternative an effective tool to express, where during the stages of the program , the kids will learn making their own puppets and discuss an educational subjects, such as violence, equality, and hygiene., and many other important subjects.

In the end of April 2010, the end of the first stage of the illiteracy classes course have announced, for both the first group of the women, and the dropped outs, which started on December 2010, and accomplished a high success, according to the groups feedback on their psychological and educational improvement , during their stay within the program.

For the school support program, we continue to provide the regular (Arabic, mathematics, and English classes until the end of may, as a first stage of the program, as for the Art labs, the kids are motivated to the drawing classes, and the other labs “ dabkah” are doing their intensive trainings ever Saturday and Thursday in the association yard.

The Italian delegation

4o Italian delegate have visited HSA, on 20^th of April, where their visit included explanation about the association believes and activities as also included tour in the old city, leaded by the association director MR. Wajdi Yaeesh explanation about the old city people suffering during the Israeli invasions, which after, the group have expressed their appreciation for this rich experience that they have learned a lot from.

VOICE OF KIDS 4:

SEMINAR:

During March 2011, the work team of Voice of Kids has conducted the sessions of the preparation stage of the project; they have got training that contained many activities promoting the work team capacities in the field and enhance the skills of their work. Some of the most important subjects, were under the focus of the group are the Psychological activities, Trauma, Adolescence stages and many other subjects took place within the seminar activities.

FIRST MEETING:

On 24^th march, a group of kids participated in the first day of our program, according to voice of kids, and before we start the first stage of the project, we used to make first meeting for the all the kids who applied, the work team aim was to identify the target group that will be involved in the project, within the activities of this day the work team present the project and its aspects.

(Promoting children, youth, women education and psychological wellbeing in Nablus – Old City)

Adding to our regular activities in the educational support, this month the teachers gave a special training on creating an educational facilitation, which would help the mothers to find a good strategy in tutoring their children, also the children had school exams, and the teachers responded to that actively, they tutored them form their own curriculums using the active participation methodology.

For the psychological wellbeing labs, in 21^st of March, the kids celebrated the mother’s celebration day within the art lab, they sang dance, and made a special card that prizing their mothers with, they have also celebrated the father day, which is created by their own imagination to give him the value as well as the mothers. As the sport team made a friendly match with the team of (Jabal El Nar), and planning to play another match in the coming days.

WORKSHOP:

On 1^st of March 2011, self conformation workshop has been provided by Rumoz Thoqan a new volunteer at HSA form Ascar Camp, this activity offered for our beneficiaries of the women who are attending the illiteracy classes. During the meeting the group discussed situations of their lives were they find them self weak, or strong, the goal of this workshop was to raise their awareness in the importance of the self – conformation and its results in their lives.

ACTIVITIES:

Due to our cooperation with the universities, we provide a special training for the students in the last semester at the university, this month we have involved 2 students in our activities, one of them are giving English class for the seventh and eighth grade, and the other one has been involved as computer lab facilitator for children aged between 8 – 12 years old, this way we insure a good service for the children and also involve the students in the social field, which integrate them with the volunteering work. One of our dedicated volunteer, Hiba Hammad, cooperated with the children of the seventh and the eighth grade that have difficulties in mathematics, she committed to teach them mathematics of their own curriculums, those children are coming twice a weak to our center.

Youth exchange

due to the youth exchange started since last year between human supporters and Nanttare city municipality, which began when our music and Dabkah team have visited Nanttare and the many places to Paris and other cities , this year, as second phase of the project, On 17 of February human supporters have received 16 members of youth representative of Nanttare municipality, we were so happy to welcome them since the first day of their arrival, the activities program where made specially for them, included what necessary to engage them into all the aspects of the Palestinian life and make them feel a part of our life that would made their trip highly rich we presented them the culture , customs, daily life and of course Palestinian way of celebrating , they witnessed the Palestinians conditions under the occupation through out many visits to the old city and refugee camps, they have met families have a stories to tell about the occupation , where that strengthen their engagement to our case. The program also offered many activities and youth exchange, for example activities with groups of children were part of sport, music, and art activities took a place during for days, their visit were until 24^th on February, which went so fast regarding to the richness of the program this trip was a very short time for us to show our appreciation to have them in Palestine, which also too short to show them our Palestinians hospitality, finally we would thank Nadia who made this amazing project true, and we wish for her all the best, for being an amazing person, also we won’t for get to say thanks to Nanttare municipality and all the coordinators and the youth of Nanttare , it was amazing experience that we won’t forget.

In 24^th of February we have celebrated the end of the activities done with the French group in the association yard, we invited many children with their families to enjoy the day, during the day the Dabkah team presented some cultural dance, and the sport team played some games that they have learned form the French group, as the art lab also presented their product to the audience, It was a pleasant day for all, that we can not forget about.

(Promoting children youth women education and psychological wellbeing in Nablus – Old city)

During February, the teachers of the school support have visited the children schools and met the director and the teachers in order to discuss the children conditions sand improvement in our activities, the teachers presented the special cases of the children who have low achievement at school also the children who are identified as hyper activity, and violent, as the teachers explained the methods in working with the children, where the director explained the social and psychological environment where the children are living through where the meting ended with a feedback of the school teachers to work teachers of the school support .

As the teachers of the illiteracy classes for the women and the dropped out completed their work plan, which still focusing on building the basics for the weak groups and giving a higher levels for whom are in a better levels, for the school support, it was noticed by the mothers that their children are getting higher degrees specially in English language for the fourth grade boys and girls, as also the families telling, the children are more interested to attend the schools and more opened to get into the educational process which is one of our main goals of the project.

In the art labs, the children have participated in the activities done with the French group, which was kindly new for them but they expressed their feeling s that it was a nice experience they had.

28^th of February, Nancy Abu Hawlelh the employee at Human Supporters has conducted free day for the a group of girls that regularly attending our activities, the day contained several activities, eating, drawing, and playing at the association yard, the girls had a good time all together .

During the month of January the staff gave many of the activities that improve the performance of the beneficiaries in the aspects of education, school support, illiteracy classes, which were noticed the teachers capacities to provide the alternative methods in tutoring the children and the youth and the women. For The laboratories art, theater and sports the Volunteers provided the best activities that would improve the psychological wellbeing on children and that, especially after the psychological conditions difficult, which have been discovered and incorporated in the programs of the project, where we are planning for a special training for staff who can deal with these cases efficiently.

On 18^th of January, Mrs. Ikram al-Sharif a specialist working on “family defense association” in the cooperation with HSA staff, has conducted a workshop entitled "Violence against women", which dedicated to the women who are a part of in the illiteracy program, she presented the modern concept of violence in general, and also discussed the causes of violence in the family and society and its forms. The method of the workshop was taken by dividing the participants into small groups, which enabled them to highlight the consequences of violence in the family and society, and how to confront it and reduce its spread.

On 25^th and 27^th of January, Ahmed al-Arboudi, one of the staff of the association, who holds a bachelor's degree in Applied Chemistry, gave two workshops on health and the environment. Where the first workshop named "health of women and children" and other one “the good food” The participants were women attending the illiteracy classes, as they were aiming to raise the participant’s awareness of some aspects of the health practices of children and women.

On 26^th January, we started an educational support in the English language methodology for the seventh and eights grades, which responded to repeated request for support during the course of the volunteer Marah Abu Zanet, a student in the English department.

On 27^th of January, the new project of “promoting” project manager Mr. Salvo conducted a workshop about” reporting” for the staff and the volunteers of Human supporters association, which aimed to find a unified format for the repots written by the staff and the volunteers of the project, where the workshop were end up with one format that suitable for all of them.

On 30^th of January, we organized recreational activity for 150 beneficiaries of our programs, we took the women, the children, and the youth to in the Freedom Theatre located in Jenin, where they presented specially for us a play entitled (Alice in Wonderland) which is a story for a little girl transfer into another fantasy world where the excitements can be found.

For the other activities, new group have been formed to be a part of dance team, we have choose 6 girl to get raining twice a week in the association’s yard

Illiteracy classes :

On Sunday 2^nd^ofDecember we conducted the first sessions of illiteracy classes, that were after we Classified the first target groups, 50 from both dropped kids aged between 13-18 years old, and women aged between 25-45 years, attended the classes, we started tutoring them but first We divided into four groups of 12 in each class in order to give more attention for each participant, working on covering their needs in reading and to writing, and that opportunity that they waited for since long.

School support:

During December, our school support activities were following the main methodologies and goals of the project itself, it was obvious the improvement of the children’s performance in the classrooms, due to the participatory approach that made a positive changes.

As the teachers held 3 meetings with the mothers in order to explain their children achievements and the teachers’ plans and their methods in tutoring their children

Labs :

With the beginning of December we started the Art labs activities, Sport, Art, theater, and computer In each lab there are 15 children aged between 9-14 years old, the aim of the labs is to enhance the children’s psychological wellbeing and to increase their abilities in playing and working together as team and to express their feelings so they can gain more awareness about their lives.

Voice of kids

On Saturday 25^th of December, afternoon we held the voice of kids’ conference in Hamdi manko hall, the conference held for celebrating the end of the edition 3 and to distribute the magazine, many visitors, the kids’ parents and all the organizations were involved in the activities of the project came to join us our happiness in this special event that the kids wait for since long, during the conference the kids presented the magazine and the activities were held within the stages of the project during 2010, as Hamza and Nawal presented their poems, which people admired, apart of the conference was a clowning show presented by Spanish clowns, so that 100 kids involved in the school support with their mothers participated in this even. We are very proud of the children’s achievements and we congratulating them for the magazine.

Delegations:

27^th December a Delegation of 70 French called “international solidarity movement “visited us, first we took them in a tour in the old city of Nablus and we explained them the landmarks of the city. As we explained them about human supporters services . Also in 31^st of December an Italian delegation of 40 people visited human supporters association, as the staff introduced the association projects and activities and the psychological conditions in the old city cased by the Israeli solders during the repeated invasions to the old city

School support

As part of the school support program, from 27^th to 30^th November four meetings were held with the children’s parents, which aimed to explain in detail the project’s methodology, specifically the promotion of children’s participation in the education process and raising parents’ awareness of their essential role in building their children’s capacities. The promotion of children, youth and women’s education, as well as the psychological wellbeing of young residents of the Nablus old city, was also discussed. During the meetings the teacher listened to parents’ comments about their children’s difficulties in the schools and promised to provide special training for the parents in upcoming meetings. Parents reported benefiting greatly from the meetings.

My Father Reads To Me campaign

Human Supporters Association has participated actively in the wide-ranging campaign called My Father Reads To Me by reading stories for 15 children in the Association garden, where this campaign was launched. Run between 1^st and 4^thNovember 2010 by the Tamer Institute for Community Education, in collaboration with many local organizations, this campaign aimed to promote the relationship between parents and their children though the reading of stories.

Clowning, laugh therapy

The well-known Spanish group called Fest Clown visited Human Supporters Association specifically to undertake a program of workshops entitled ‘Clowning, Laugh Therapy’. At first they ran a workshop involving 20 Association participants in which they provided basic training in clowning. The next day a laugh therapy workshop was held with the same group in which the trainers taught participants many simple games to make them laugh from the bottom of their hearts.

Clowning party for the school support children

Fest Clown organized an amazing clowning party for more than 100 children involved in the school support program. For two hours, Fest Clown acted, sang, and danced for and with the children. Participating children reported that they had a wonderful time with the clowning group; it really brought joy to the children’s hearts.

American delegation visit

On 6^th November, an American delegation called Interfaith Peace Builders visited Human Supporters Association. Their visit aimed to learn about the projects offered by the Association to Palestinian society under occupation. Their program also included a visit to the old city and other activities.

Children stories

On 3^rd October, a group of 10 children narrated stories of painful memories of 2002 and the Israeli invasion 2002, the activities implemented by the Italian journalist called “Chicelia” attended to HAS specifically, to write the Palestinian children stories who are still under the impact of trauma resulted by the occupation, her activities held in both: Gaza Strip and the West Bank, where the implementation of the workshop with the children took two hours ,with The help of HSA specialists. The visit resulted in many stories still engraved in the history of the painful memory.

Trainings

The association started training course includes theoretical and practical aspect, the training entitled "individual counseling," which was specifically targeting students of Psychology Department – Al Najah national University , according to the special training course to students. On 4^th October, we provided them with training in building skills in the individual counseling training followed by applicable practices with children in need.

Educational activities

On Thursday, 7^th October, the educational assistance of the association carried out and open day with children from the aged between 10-14 years, the activities done with the assistance of volunteers, in the courtyard of the association devoted to the activities of social entertainment, where the activities included educational means offered through play and work.

School support

On Saturday, 9th October and within the school support activities, the association opened its doors to 100 children aged 7-9 years of the primary grades, they all arrived to receive the Arabic language, mathematics, and English classes. Where we work to promote children through non-formal education, which increases the educational opportunities for children, and their integration into the practical learning

workshops

On 20 October, a specialist “Khawla Alafore’ from the Treatment and Rehabilitation centre for Victims of Torture, has collaborated with HSA, to start a series of workshops for women, aimed to increase their awareness about the relationships, and also to raise their awareness in the psychological and social affairs.

Protection activity

On 24^th October, a group of PCC experts, held a meaningful activities, for 40 children aged between 10-14 years old, that promote the protection concepts in the children, and the importance of maintaining personal space, where the activities included dancing and several games brings the joy in the children’s hearts.

Puppets course

On 18^th October, human supporters implemented course of workshops entitled (Dolls) by two French specialist, they trained a group of psychologist students to industry puppets using simple materials, and they are also trained to do theatrical performances and other educational games, the course lasted until 26th October, and resulted in benefiting the participants on the use of theater as a psychological tool.

World education forum activities

On 30^th October, human supporters in the partnership with CISS applied a workshop entitled ( traditional Education Vs the public education) within the activities that the world Education forum is doing all over the world, where the association’s workshop in the forum where within the project ( promoting children, youth, women Education and psychological wellbeing in Nablus- old city). During the workshop we introduce the creative teaching methodology, and the alternative teaching methods which focus of the student.

Supervision Activities

Human Supporters’ Association continues to provide a supervision service and follow-up activities as part of its main project (Promoting children, youth, and women education and psychological wellbeing in Nablus- old city).In September, the association held four sessions for 45 trainees covering different organizations. These sessions were very successful and will be of great use in serving Palestinian society. With these sessions we have achieved part of our project’s goals- goals that Human Supporters in cooperation with CISS are striving to achieve.

Teacher Training

On 21 September, project manager Ms. Emilia Sorrenteno held training for the teachers involved in school support activities. Using these skills and this knowledge, one hundred children in the second, third, and fourth grades will be tutored in Arabic, English and Mathematics. The training contained teaching techniques and work methodologies that will enable teachers to provide educational services by using various educational methods, supporting children in their education and insuring their continuation of studies.

Voice of Kids

The VOK Team is undertaking many psycho-educational events and activities with HSA. The team enthusiastically returned to the VOK sessions after the school year commenced. Recently they began finalizing the magazine and preparing for a conference. On 28 September, the group celebrated the birthday of Khalid (one of VOK members). On Khalid’s birthday, the team also presented the magazine as a way of celebrating the special day.

Courses

On 19 September, the Association started running English classes and human rights workshops in English. The courses were offered to HSA staff and selected volunteers. The two courses contained valuable information about human rights: for example, the sessions included discussions about Palestinians rights in light of Israeli practices in the occupied territories.

Activities

HSA continues to run theatre activities where a 12-member group, aged between 11 and 14 years, regularly performs theatrical works; one example being the group’s production of a show for HSA’s open day. HSA will continue to provide storytelling activities for children at a number of locations throughout Nablus: places of education such as the municipality library and public areas such as the parks. These events encourage children to learn and reflect as well as providing a fun atmosphere.

Computers lab

Human supporters association opened computers lab, which will be granted Courses for beginner, intermediate level of the beneficiaries, for both, children and young people, where Will enable them to use various computer programs, Microsoft And the Internet. The 3^rd of august 2010 , H.S.A with the cooperation of the Planet action team from LYON – France , started the smile together summer camp , which was implemented for 40 kids aged between 9-12 years old . The summer camp finished in the 9^th of august 2010 . The camp Included a lot of activities and departments, such as competitions, educational and art departments. This camp was special for the children, because of the new sport they learned ,which is wrestling, which was implemented by specialist from the French team .

In the 11^th of august , Ramadan had arrived , That was the reason of why the H.S.A made a lot of group breakfasting days in the association , where they also invited the employees , the V.O.K group , the dabka dancing team , and some of the children’s families who are participating in the association activities .

An Italian delegation had visited the H.S.A for 4 days , the visit included the old city . The projects coordinator MR.WAJDI explained them the psycho-sociological situation for the families who lives in the old city of Nablus , and he also played some movies and made some lectures to explain more about the situation .

The V.O.K group had started adding the last touches in the articles which they wrote through the third phase of the project , as they are also choosing the pictures and colors which they are going to add to their magazine , they do the whole decorating thing on their daily work at the association .

In the 15^th of July, the voice of kids group started the project 4^th phase activities, which through it the whole group decided everything about their magazine like articles which they wrote in the third phase , the designs which they will be learning how to do by computer trainings .

In the final phase the kids became ready to add a lot of different subject to their magazine; we hope that the magazine will take a good place in Palestine and the outside world.

Promoting children , youth , women education and psychological well-being in Nablus - old city :

As the success is continuing in implementing the activities of this project , the cooperation between the H.S.A and the ministry of education about the schools and the targeted groups to give the special educational services is still running , this cooperation will also help us to have the names and the number of the drop out children who we will be working with in this project . The formal and the informal education programs will start at the beginning of the school year.

In the 17^th of July 2010 a group of the beneficiaries who belongs to “collectif Palestine Paris 8 “with the cooperation of “generation Palestine “ le mans city , started to implement the “my story in the History “ project for the H.S.A children which included the photography activities and movie making which is about the Palestinian reality according to the children’s point of view . The children were supervised by this group, and they made an exhibition for their pictures in the association yard on Saturday the 31st of July .

The families of those children attended the exhibition and celebrated with their children the end of the project and the publishing for the 5 movies .

The 21^st of July, H.S.A made an open day with the coordination of PCC for 60 children from both centers. The activity aimed to mix the both center’s children together and to introduce them to the activities of the H.S.A association .

H.S.A with the cooperation of Bayalara center started implementing the (count to ten) project, which includes 2 groups from both genders aged between (13-18) years old during July.

The project aimed to create an acceptable and tolerant culture for the youth, and also adopt some wise means away from violent.

In addition to many trainings and workshops about psych-sociological health and conflict management.

H.S.A with the cooperation of Bialara center, made an open day for 50 children, it included a lot of activities and group games with prizes, celebrating the opening of the ARZ ice cream factory, and encouraging the local producing process.

In the 31st of July H.S.A participated in a festival in sebestya , which included a lot of singing and dancing activities.
the association was apart of the folklore dancing and singing shows , leaded by the association dabka dance team .
H.S.A (Ehna) hiphop dance team participated with a very interesting dance shows .
The festival included a tour in this historical village which told the story of the civilization which have lived in .

Visits :
An Italian delegation with Luisa morgantini the previous vice president of the European Union, they visited the H.S.A to get introduced about the association projects, which helped the people in our community.
The delegation also visited the Old city as usual.

In 17^th June, Voice of kid’s team has visited defence for children international centre in Nablus, the goal of the visit was to meet the centre’s services and also, to make an interview with Mr, Samer Ajaj the manager of the centre, he started the meeting with an explanation about the centre services offered to save the children rights and protection, During the workshop the kids presenting some children’s matters and discussed them with him. As 5 of the kids made interview with the manager in private, in order to discuss deeper information the centre target groups and work methods.

European delegation of different nationalities consisting 14 psychologists and psychiatrics visited our association on 6^th June 2010, where the purpose of the visit was to take an overview about the association’s programmes. As Mr. Wajdi Yaeesh one of the association founders and the current projects coordinator of HSA, presented a brief history of the association establishment, which is considered as a reflection of the Israeli invasion to the west bank cities in 2002.

The projects coordinator Mr. Wajdi Yaeesh explained the children’s conditions under the invasion of 2002, and the repeated practices of the Israeli soldier against the Palestinian society, special in Nablus – old city. Additionally; the activities coordinator Mr Raed Kukhun gave an explanation about the goals and the stages of Voice of Kids program.

The delegation visit lasted for 3 hours included with tour in the old city leaded by wajdi, he showed them the historical monuments of the city and the destruction left by the Israeli soldiers during the invasion 2002.

Group of alaizareh municipality board members came to our center to discuss the details of the participation in the summer camp will be hold in France - noture city, that will take place in 5^th july 2010, in this summer camp our dabkah and music team and 5 of their youth will be part of it , our team will present dabkah and music shows during the camp activities, as it will last for 12 days including the visits to the other cities like pairs

In 21^st June, HSA opened the summer camp activities door (living together), that we offer every summer vacation, this camp includes kids aged between 9-13 years old, and covers the three religions located in Nablus city, Muslim, Christian, and Samaritan, where the goals of the camp is to promote the tolerance and the social unity among the religions. As also, it includes lots of entertainment and artistic activities.

(Promoting children youth, women, education and psychological wellbeing) project

On 9^th June we started the supervision meetings in HSA centre, the goals behind the meetings is to monitor the 80 volunteer’s affairs in the work field, their difficulties, and personal skill, Also enhancing the local organizations performance in the psychological and social work field. The meetings will take a place on June until the end of December.

we started new French course for the children aged between 10-13 years old, by the graduator mr. mahdi Karadeh, who is one of our best volunteers in tutoring French for the children, as we started also the activities of ( the story) that will encourage the children on reading educational stories, this activitirs leaded by Ms. Nancy abu haweleh on of the HAS staff.

As we continue the other usual activities in serving the children and the youth of Nablus.

With the beginning of each month, you promised to keep informed in our previous activities, In order to crown our goals in promoting the society towards better future.

The mentoring training activities that have to do with the project (Promoting children, youth, and women education and psychological wellbeing in Nablus- old city

During May, HSA staff under the mentoring of the project manager Mrs. Emilia sorrenteno , have been setting the applicable means of the mentoring activities that will take a place in 9^th June.

The PCC experts will follow up and mentor the 80 trainee’s works, who received training on capacity building. As a part of the supervision activities, each group will be enrolled one session per a month at HAS centre, these activities will last for 6 months, starting from June until the end of December

Voice of kids

An intensive training has given in order to enable the kids to make interviews and to conduct journalistic investigations during the period of June/ July 2010. The psychologists of the project gave them exercises about the time management during the last session of May, Now, they are in a process of doing the final tests in school, as we are hoping they will do as best as they can.

External workshops:

In 8^th May 2010, a number of workshops conducted by the volunteer Mr.Ahmad Al Arboudi, he presented a play with 4 volunteers from youth straggle union organization , the play displayed at Azmut Women's Association in Azmut village, where more than 100 girls aged 6-12 years old attended the event.

Besides the play, a number of social activities took a place in order to increase the girl’s awareness about a significance moral values such as tolerance and other noble attitudes. During the 3- hour’s functions, other activities such as singing, dancing and reading stories, were carried out in the addition of the psychological support activities.

Moreover Ahmed conducted a training of other organizations members on how to deal with children and provide psychosocial support for the children near to their centre in Salfet governorate.

First Aid course:

To ensure the safety of our beneficiaries, and to improve the efficiency of our employees, we began First Aid course is in place for our staff, this will be done by the medic expert Mr. Ashraf Gaber, who is well-experienced in providing first Aid courses.

25- credit hours training course which will be carried out during June and July, will enable the staff to deal with emergencies, that might arise happen during the facilitation of our activities with groups.

Wing day in Palestine

Youth, teenagers from ages 12 and over, from NGOz youth centres of refugee camps, and other youth organization were all invited to take part in the wing day action, where Balloons flew and some other creative activities, for example singing and dancing send out their messages to the other side and the whole world.

The action organized by union of youth centres refugee camps- Palestine with the support of international volunteers. 20 teenagers from our side participated in the event, which took a place at Alram at one side of the apartheid wall. All the participants wrote their messages, dreams on the balloons and set them free.

Dream day

On May 16^th, 2010, HSA Specialists, Mr. Raed Kukhun and Mr. Ali Alnobani carried out a drama workshop. Due to the activities nature, children named the workshop “Dream Day” as it motivated them to use their imagination and think of nice dreams in a free mind. 10 children from 10 – 13 years old participated in the activity; those children are enrolled in the theatre activities and have participated in many other activities.

We have continued serving and tutoring the children, who need our non-formal educational support, as due to beginning of the final examination; our stuff and the volunteers are making more efforts in supporting children to do better in their exams .

as our dance team are preparing themselves and doubling their efforts on modern cultural shows, which will be reseted in france in many famous lounges

European delegation : 18^th May 2010

We have received European delegation included 37 members of different nationalities, the projects coordinator Mr. wajdi yaeesh introduced them to our centre, as well as the projects and the other activities. As he prised their visit which aimed to increase awareness of the Europeans visitors about the daily repression practiced of the occupation against the Palestinians. As the delegation had a field a tour in some destructed places and other organizations in the camps

German delegation of 14 members visited the association in 27^th May 2010, as Mr. Wajdi yaeesh the project coordinator gave them an explanation about the association establishment, and the staff participated in presenting the association projects and the others volunteering activities. The delegation went in a tour around the old city, and they introduced to the city historical landmarks and the psycho- political influences on the people of the city.

With the constant continuous serving for the local community’s slices, human supporters association is expending largely every day, counting on our diverse projects that are covering by its aspects a significant numbers of benefiter’s grassroots, as our impassion is to reach wider zone of people who need our social and psychological support.

April 2010 was distinctive for us, especially because of the new project activities that began during it.

The non- state actors, Ciss (Cooperazione Internazionale Sud-Sud), the Italian NGO, In the partnership with human supporters association the Palestinian NGO, announced the activitie’s application of (promoting, childe, youth, women education and psychological wellbeing) project that funded by the European union , the announcement was through the first action, which was the press release that took a place on 8^th April 2010

During the conference, the project manager Emillia Sorrentino and the human supporters chairwomen Ms.Doha Al Bizrah, announced the launch of the project’s activities with great appreciation for the European union who funded this project, and they provided a clear explanation about the project’s goals, and the targets groups, while the director of the education directorate Ms.Saher Akub and the municipality vice president Dr. Hafez Shaheen, prised starting of such project in nablus which will helps the dropped out kids and illiterate women in building their capacities during 3 years, where the informal education will give them the opportunity to have a recognized certification, and the psychological wellbeing.

On 13^th April 2010 we started the implementation stage (capacity building training ) in the cooperation with the Palestinian counselling centre experts, the training addressed to 88 participants how working in NGOz, ministry of education, universities’ students, hsa volunteers…etc

Where the training consisted: the informal education and the psychological support, it continued until 22th of April and ended with a huge success. otherwise, this training will have other phases, as long the project is going on.

On 4^th April the activities coordinator Raed, and the volunteers Abood and Nidal in HAS, returned from France, they have been invited by the cinema politica association with the Collectif palestine Paris 8 to participate in (festival printemps palestine 2010 – resister par la culture), the three of them represented the Palestinian cultural and social resistance during the festival activities in many universities, and the whole trip lasted 14 days, as they added they had a wonderful times with collectif family, who stood by them all the time, and introduced them the civilization aspects in Paris and other cities, it was a unforgettable journey with collectif palestine. (congratulation for the work team, they done an amazing job together.

After serving the community during in the second stage, voice of kids team now are going through new educational process, the journalist Eman elshami is opening their horizons in the journalists field, and increasing their capacities to criticise and to write articles about their daily life and many other parts of their lives, due to the goals of this stage, each one of them will identified as the young journalist, They will be able to make interviews with important characters, and to in write about it in professional ways.

On 24^th April luiza Morgantini the previous vice president of the European parliament, Has visited human supporters with Italian delegation consists 45 person, we presented them the association and the activities that we do for the local community by the project coordinator wajd yaeesh, then we took the delegation into association garden to show them some of our dabka and music bands who practice daily to present an artistic cultural shows as appreciation to thier visit and of course to add more enjoyment to their journey

After the repairs has been done in our garden, it become possible to our beneficiaries do their activities officially, the garden includes large yard an two internal rooms, one for our music band and the other one for the kids, where they can have an educational support and other possible activities, as we are planning also to add special library in the near future

In the cooperation with the local organizations, we have held many workshops targeting the women and youth’s affairs, on 13^th April ( the Palestinian centre for democracy and solving the conflicts ) the trainer Najlaa Aydi has gave at human supporters two workshops during the previous month, the first one entitled (self- affirmation) For 20 of the association participants, during the session they discussed the cases where the person indentified as less self- confidence , and they worked on the solutions for such cases, the other workshop held on 27^th April, it was about (the violence against women) The women presented stories of some families who exposed to a permanent violence, while the trainer provided the group the legal behaviours to deal with it.

During the visit of representative group form Nanterre municipality, has been agreed in the partnership with human supporters to apply the summer in Nanterre camp, 14 members from our dabka and music team will present several shows during the camp that will be last for 10 days during July 2010. during April the NGOz French association ((ADD)) have visited the association too, the purpose of that vivst is to fund some projects in the near future.

Early in the beginning of march we started new project “promoting children, youth, woman education and psychological wellbeing in Nablus(old city)”
With the Collaboration of CISS organization, The project aims are enhancing awareness among local authorities, NGOs and community leaders in Occupied Palestinian Territories on children, youth and women's rights and protection with a view toward creating a healthier environment for social integration and development and reducing the poverty among children, youth and women in OPT by expanding their education opportunities and promoting their psychosocial wellbeing, rights and participation. The specific objective is improving psychosocial well-being and education of children, youth and women affected by the occupation in the Old City of Nablus.

On Tuesday 2nd of march ,Through the second stage of voice of kids project the children made poem exhibition to reborn the Palestinian culture through poems exhibition for the Palestinians poets, that presented in the centre, kids invited parents, teachers, poets, kids , they presented the poems by posting them on the walls and they made special presentation for Mahmud Darwish, also young poets presented their poems, finally they thank the kids for that special event

On Saturday 13th of march , the children went to the Separation wall in Qalqilya city which surrounded by the separation wall form all the sides and kids decided to assure the presence of the Palestinian people by going to the wall and draw on it. as they visited the municipality to learn about Qalqilya history, Mr. Yaqoib asfor welcomed them and gave a presentation about the city and the
life style and the suffering from the wall ,the final place in that activity was the zoo.

On 21st of march the Hip-Hop band (E7na) recorded a song (my mother)on the mother’s day occasion ,they offered to all mothers, they always thinking to make a new songs in different events in their community and the world, Baha’a said the team also will participate in many concert in the summer.

On Saturday 27th march one of human supporters’ volunteer Ahmad alarbodi participated in poetic symposium in atiq cultural centre in howwara village , he said that he enjoyed his time with other poets during the symposium, he read a number of poems, which has been written by himself.

The other programmes are still running as usual, English, French, theatre, dabka , hip-hop, in addition to The participation of three of human supporters association at a conference about Palestine in France.

Nablus: Four Palestinian killed by Israeli terror through 24 hours

In 20^th of March 2010, Israeli army attacked iraqboren village near to Nablus, there was a peaceful protest to take the settlers to their lands, the army killed two Palestinian children, one of them was wounded in his heart by a live bullet, and the other in his stomach, they transported to a local hospital by private car after Israeli forces held up ambulance called to the scene.

In 21^st of March 2010 afternoon, Israeli soldiers shot dead two Palestinians near Nablus,” Muhammad Faysal and Salah Muhammad Qawariq.”
Both were from the Awarta village, southeast of Nablus, and were en route to farmland carrying agricultural tools and herbicide.
Eyewitnesses said Israeli forces declared the area a "closed military zone" .Soldiers closed the main entrance to the village of Madama, south of Nablus. The Israeli soldiers then opened fire toward the Palestinian killing the two farmers in cold blood.

This situation becomes after the events of Jerusalem, where more than 100 people were injured. In Abu Dis, an East Jerusalem town, 17 injuries were reported since confrontations and protests began early Tuesday morning. Students threw stones toward Israeli forces in the area, burning tires. Locals said forces responded with rubber-coated bullet fire and tear-gas canisters to disperse demonstrators. Where Israeli is Inaugurated “AL-Kharab” Synagogue by force near Al-Aqsa Mosque. Where the Palestinian situation was stressful and all of the Palestinians life was depressed, and the Israelis said that the inauguration of this synagogue will be a start point to built there for their alleged structure.

Our actions towards the local society are depend on people needs, and because we are particularly involved in the second phase of the voice of kid’s project, we seize the opportunities to accomplish initiatives that can be highly useful and make us proud of what we do .

At the beginning of February our kids thought about visiting the orphan’s house, where 13 girls aged between 12- 17 are living there, kids believe that (It is not fair for a group of young girls to live away from their parent’s tenderness) they added (it is our opportunity to do something for them).

On Saturday morning, 11:00 am 25 members were ready to meet the girls, when we arrived there, the house’s counselor took us in a tour in all the departments, and then we all gathered in the visitor’s hall to meet the others. Girls were a little shy at the beginning but we became a family as fast as you could imagine. We made a cake and tea party, we sang, laughed all together. Two hours went so fast, and we closed the activities with a group photo.

One of Our main activities carried out in the previous month, focused on new tutoring techniques. Ola Al sadder the English department student, volunteered to give us an English classes by group games as competitions, we are not only learning English we are enjoying the class too.

For further information, these games not only executed with students but also children with mohammed samarah. As the graduated Rana saleh is giving French classes for a group of new participants.

On Thursday 25^th February, voice of kid’s team participated in the prophet’s birth celebration with the whole city. We packed congratulation cards, V.O.K magazine and sweets to share with people in such a special day. Kids wandered in the city and they gave the envelops to all the people, we put our imprint in a very special day where everybody was happy.

Hip – hop band (Ehna) made a concert in the old city, during the event, they presented many patriotic songs, and the break dance team participated by dancing shows to make the evening more enjoyment, and many of the local audience were there.

The Other activists went on as usual, dabka team are still practicing on new movements in order make their performance more wonderful. Moreover, kids in the theatre activities are training on new stories. That is our way of cultural resistance

Before we start telling you our monthly news, we would truly like to wish a happy New Year for our partners in the non-violent resistance against the Israeli occupation. Happy New Year and please except our full appreciation, we are extremely grateful to you for standing by us, all the way through our journey in promoting our local Palestinian community, we have to say that we would not be able cover all of these remarkable things without your constant support, happy 2010 and may it bring many successes to us all

Winter camp was the first occurrence planed for January 2010, with a great enthusiastic volunteers committed to participate actively with us; we performed 5 workshops as preparation to facilitate the winter camp. Each workshop carried out by two participant volunteers. The subjects were drama, Music, recycling, and other activities. We exchanged experiences among each other, as one of the camp targets. Once kids finished the first semester exams, they were ready for fun; our reward for them was the winter camp which we were well trained for

On Saturday 16th January, at ten am the association was crowded with a magnificent number of kids, we assembled them all at the association garden, our volunteer Ahmed El-arboudi and aya yaeesh beared the responsibility of that day, with the help of others involved facilitators.
Starting form the second day until the end of the camp, kids were divided into four classes drama - recycling, dancing, music, and other activities.The camp last for a whole week and ended up with lots of joy and fun

On January 2010 kids celebrated the opening of V.O.K second phase, we made a small party with cake and candles. As known kids have to apply 6 main initiatives for the local community according to the phase.
At the beginning they choose a space of a very old palace in the middle of the old city. In order to do their first initiative, they went with a 35 kids from the association to start their activities; they presented competitions, educational questions, songs, and dances. The day was very successful; all of them had a wonderful time.

Other activities took an essential part of January, as the dabka team intensified their preparations efforts during a short time to display the coming show.
The Hip-hop team kept working on new songs about our daily resistance. Many activities planned for the next month, this is our part of human supporting.

How fantastic the achievement it has been by the voice of kids work team during December 2009, their mission was constructing the foundation of the group through a multi psycho-educational activities, and they succeeded, Despite all the difficulties that were faced amongst the new groups, including issues of age, residence and cultural backgrounds, they managed to build a strong cohesive team. The group started to lay the foundations with an introduction, breaking the ice, lots of simple games, and such activities that intend to cement the first brick in their relationships. With time they become more and more opened to each other, and they ended up actively with leading themselves in some roles under our supervision, We anticipated this accomplishment, but never would of guessed at how well it turned out over December.

One of our main activities has been curried out for this month, was the educational workshops that took place in Howrah village, and Alta ‘won housing area. characteristics of adolescence lecture was for youth of 12-18 who identified as teenagers, we have discussed the physical, psychological, and emotional changes that expected to occur during the adolescence stage. All the information presented there reflected on their self-awareness positively and that was our goal of the session.
Our volunteer Ahmad Elarbudi is a specialist in the applied chemistry, he has done a lecture for women in Alta’awon area, he explained about the industrial materials could be used in the healthy food’s contains, Plus the best ways of having cleaned pots of chemicals, which was very interesting subject for the housewives.

Two of our best volunteers Abeer Titi,Aya yaeesh have built activities program for kids, that program is rich of Drama activities such as playing rules, drawing, and physical games, the new Group of boys and girls had shown their talents through the program. As was obvious that Varity of the program enabled the boys and girls to relief there feelings and to learn more about themselves

Certainly we still provide the usual education classes program for our kids groups, plus the ongoing dabka training for the youth. The hip-hop team is recording new music about Palestine and the identity. All the activities done by human supporters are for serving the local community. And we hope to do more and more to promote the the education in Palestinian society.

Public Execution in a modern world !!!!!

With the beginning of the New Year, the Palestinians in Nablus city wake up on the sound of bullets and bombs, on the 26th of December 3 O’clock midnight, the Israeli soldiers stormed the old city of Nablus attempting to commit a new massacre that is how people realize the true face of the occupation.

Three civilians, Raed Sarakji, Ghassan Abu Sharkh, and Anan Sobih were executed in front of their families in “Cold Blood”, in spite of their ability to arrest them.the Palestinian Resistant Leader ” Annan Sobih” was received a full amnesty from Israel after he turned in his weapons, signed a form renouncing violence and spending months in Palestinian police protective jail while Israel okayed the deal.Sarakji and Abu Sharkh were taken to the Rafidia hospital wounded in the chest. Sarakji ’s wife was also taken to the hospital to be treated of some injuries in her legs.
